At the base of the famous Superstition Mountains in the East Valley, Apache Junction is rich with natural wonders and Old West history, from legendary gold mines to ghost towns. Lost Dutchman State Park offers hiking trails, picnic areas, and campsites on the western side of Superstition Mountain, only nine miles from Rancho Mirage.
